Getting the ballpen of your classmate without his/her permission is considered as stealing. According to the commandments given by God " You should not steal". Therefore, stealing in any form is bad.
Given the article entitled " Who is responsible for the identity theft" is just one of the many incidents that is happening not just here in our country but also to the different parts of the world. They call it phishing which means stealing your personal info such as your bank accounts, credit card numbers and even your passwords. For me, the one that should be blame for the incidents is the consumer. We all have an idea that there are plenty of scams on the internet. Before they make actions, they asked first or confirm if that's for real or not. Laws should not be changed actually but rather the behavior of the consumers. We can prevent this situation but not forever. Oftentimes, people blame others for their own negligence. How can you learn if you put the blame to other people?
Talking about the appropriate punishment to all the people doing a scam is the least thing to decide. I mean there are bigger crimes than that. Even if that person be put in jail, the scam may stop for awhile but it can be repeated again and again. There are plenty of people around us. They also have their own reasons for doing such things.
For the credit card holders, if situations like this arises, they should also have some actions about it and do not just sit and relax and wait for the result. And also do not blame others for what is happening. That's your own negligence. if you're one of the victims of that scam then FINE. TAKE IT! but provided that you have learned your lessons. Be sensitive to your environment. And don't just give your personal information to the people whom you do not know yet esp. if it's on the internet.
